I just got the dreaded forkjøpsrett phone call about four hours ago. It was a great little apartment, at a reasonable price, with the additional emotional investment of being my first home. Oh, the anger!!! And I'm not just angry about losing the house - I'm mostly angry at the injustice of the law. How do the Norwegians not notice that they've created a crazy, inherently unfair system. I'm an American transplant living in Fredrikstad (hubby is Norwegian). So far we have 3 things in common-pine nut syndrome, Norway and we both own 2 cats.
